Okay, We have an announcement… This is HUGE!!! At least for us… Well, hopefully for so many others…
We’ve moved! We are starting our homestead and farm over again. We look at this as a lot of hard work, (possibly some cursing… okay, cursing… confession here we come) sweat -lots of sweat-, blood -lots of blood-, tears -lots of tears-, pain -lots of pain (embrace the suck), and JOY! Lots and lots of joy!
To be honest, prior to taking this journey it seemed insurmountable. We are old… well, older… We fully understand what we are doing and how much work it is going to take to get this going again.
BUT!!! It is also an opportunity to help others. So we are making this even bigger and starting another HUGE project and documenting our journey. You all will get to see the journey via a Kickstarter Documentary, Book and Planner. We hope to teach others “How To Provide Food” for their family and community. We will be including from beginning to end, a detailed, customize-able plan and in depth information on these topics!
Spring Gardening
Summer Gardening
Fall Gardening
Winter Gardening
Starting a CSA
Raising Chickens
Raising Geese
Raising Turkey
Raising Ducks
Raising Pigs
Raising Goats
Raising Cattle
You will get to see all of the nitty-gritty, all of the details… The blood, sweat and tears… and a customize-able plan for your very own homestead… or farm… or backyard — for that matter.
Over the next month, I will be posting new stories each day as a starter to our project which will launch on February 28th!
We would love your thoughts!

Let the adventures begin. How to Provide, you may have seen this video; your decision to start over reminded me of it. Dick Proenneke decided to build his cabin in the Alaskan wilderness at age 51 and remained there for 30 years. No matter how old we become, we can always remain young at heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BERbQwrtit4&t=308s. Looking forward to seeing more posts on your life’s journey.
