I love the fact that there are so many more healthy cleaning products out on the market. What I could do without is the price tag associated with these products. This is one reason why I make my own.
Ingredients

1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1/2 cup Hydrogen Peroxide Powder
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup Canning Salt
1/4 cup Liquid Castile Soap
1 tsp Lemon Essential Oil
3/4 cup Water
2 Ice Cube Trays with Easy Release Bottoms
(makes 24 cubes)

Mix together borax, washing soda, hydrogen peroxide, citric acid and canning salt.

Add castile soap, water and lemon essential oil. Mix together with a fork until crumbly. Using a table serving spoon and one heaping spoonful to each cube in ice cube tray. Press down, firmly forming each cube.

Cover with a dish towel and let dry for three days or up to fourteen days depending on air moisture levels until firm cube is made. Add one cube to each dish-washing cycle. The lemon essential oil adds a beautiful scent to each wash. Store in a glass container with a secure lid.
It is a great way of thinking clean! But, hiw many would di it? It’s too much work!
